Mark Steyn on Gosnell and Moral Decline

Mark Steyn writes:
This is a remarkable moment in American life: A man is killing actual living, gurgling, bouncing babies on an industrial scale - and it barely makes the papers. Had he plunged his scissors into the spinal cord of a Democrat politician in Arizona, then The New York Times, ABC, CBS, NBC and everyone else would be linking it to Sarah Palin's uncivil call for dramatic cuts in government spending. But "Doctor" Kermit Gosnell's mound of corpses is apparently entirely unconnected to the broader culture.
Why? Well, because it's all about a woman's "right to choose".

H/T: Pundit & Pundette

  1. And yet, we (pro-lifers) are shouted down as misogynistic, backwards, medieval, and uncaring about women or their 'rights'. Up is down, down is up. Sometimes don't you feel like Alice in Wonderland? Except that it isn't 'wonderland' but hell.

  2. I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I wish I lived in 1940s Poland. There was no controversy about the wickedness of the Nazis and it was morally licit to shoot at them. Now we can only pray outside the "clinics" of the modern day Nazis.

  3. Back alley abortions got their name because it was the back alley door that was used by the woman after hours to enter the doctor's office. Yes there were a few dirty dingy places but for the most part the real reason women dies was because of an infection before the existance of modern antibiotics.
Gosnell operated the way most clinics want to operate, without regulation. & Gosnell shows us the real reason why they scream every time even the slightest mention of regulation comes up.

  4. Lord, have mercy. I don't get sickened often. This has truly and sincerely... no, I will not even say anything. These are the actions of a madman.
